Road safety measures identified for the Port of Newcastle

Port of Newcastle

The Port of Newcastle operates an extensive private road network at Kooragang Island that carries a wide range of vehicles and users. Road safety had been an ongoing concern. SECA reviewed the road network to identify opportunities to address anti-social road behaviour that had persisted in the area for a number of years. The project identified permanent and temporary control measures with associated costs, allowing the Port to select options that fit within budget.
