This project required careful consideration of the access options and a detailed assessment of the parking demands, to avoid costly basement parking close to the Newcastle harbour foreshore. Our assessment ensured that the development was approved with reduced visitor parking for the commercial and residential element of the project and an agreed access arrangement that maximised access to the site with minimum impacts upon the adjacent road network. This mixed use development was approved by Council and has now progressed to construction phase.
